What makes your products better than those readily available in supermarkets?

These kind of protein balls are very popular now, which is great, but unfortunately, a lot of what’s available is very high in sugar. Even natural sugars cause an insulin spike, so it’s important to stick to the Recommended Daily Allowance of 30g per adult. There is a handy traffic light system issued by the government which indicates that over 22.5g of sugar is considered high and a lot of what’s on the market falls into this category. We have also designed these snacks to be functional, so each add-on will support you in achieving a specific health goal.

What is the sugar content of the protein balls?

Each ball contains circa 6g of sugar. The date-free cinnamon & oat balls contain the least, with only 3.4g

Can I bulk buy them?

We sell them in packs of 5, 10 and 15 so that you have enough for your family for a week or 2, if you’d like more, please just order multiple packs.

Where should I store them?

Please keep them refrigerated once opened.

How long do they last for?

They last 2-3 weeks once opened. Please keep them refrigerated once opened.

Are the protein balls compatible with your juice cleanses?

When on a cleanse we recommend avoiding solids, if possible. However, lots of people have enjoyed adding them into their post-cleanse diet, safe in the knowledge that they are a natural, low sugar snack.

Are they suitable for children?

All flavours and add-ons are in theory suitable for children as they are natural. However please note all flavours bar the cacao nut free, contain nuts. We have specifically created Children’s No Nonsense, Nut Free Healthy Snacks which contain organic greens and do not contain any nuts, so they are suitable for school lunch boxes.

Can I recycle the packaging?

Yes, please do. We are striving to create an environmentally sustainable company so please help us on our mission by recycling.

Are the ingredients locally sourced?

Due to costing and availability this is something that we are unable to do at the moment, however the company is very ethically conscious and is looking to do all it can for planet earth and its people. Hopefully in the future this is something that will become more viable. If you are a local farm owner or have any ideas on this topic please get in touch.

Are the ingredients organic?

Where possible we source organic ingredients, however we cannot guarantee they all are due to availability.

Are they appropriate to eat as a pre or post work-out snack?

They are an ideal pre or post-work out snack and the perfect way to beat the post-lunch slump as they are a great natural source of protein, healthy fats and fibre.

How many protein balls make up a portion? Would it be unhealthy to eat more than one a day?

We recommend 1 per serving. They are an ideal pre or post-work out snack and the perfect way to beat the post-lunch slump. You can have more than 1 a day, but please note there is some natural sugar in each ball, albeit less than others on the market, and the Recommended Daily Allowance is 30g per day for an adult.

Do they contain nuts/other allergens?

All the protein balls contain nuts other than the cacao nut free flavour, which is made purely from seeds.

Are they suitable for vegans?

All of the flavours can be vegan if you avoid the bee pollen and collagen add-ons.

What are probiotics?

Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts promoted as having various health benefits. They promote a healthy digestive tract and a healthy immune system.

What is Maca?

Maca is a Peruvian root vegetable from the Radish family, it can safely be taken in small amounts daily.Maca has gained a reputation for helping balance hormones and reverse hypothyroidism. It is an endocrine adaptogen, meaning that it does not contain any hormones, but rather it contains the nutrients necessary to support normal hormone production.

What does collagen do?

Collagen is an easily digestible, hypoallergenic form of protein. It is great for supporting healthy hair, skin and nails and muscle repair.

What is collagen?

Collagen is a natural animal protein. We use grass-fed, sustainably sourced, organic beef collagen. This is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

What is the average calorie count of the protein balls?

The functional protein balls are circa 110 calories each, however more importantly, they are a great source of healthy fats, protein and fibre.

When should I eat the functional protein balls?

Anytime! They are a healthy and delicious snack that should be enjoyed guilt free whenever you fancy them. They can be eaten with a hot drink when you might usually go for a biscuit or as a mid afternoon snack.
