Juice cleanses are a great way to boost your overall wellbeing as they allow your digestive system to rest while you detox, inducing optimal nutrition conditions for healing and rebuilding.
Cleanses can also reset your habits and relationship with food. We often eat as a distraction, so a cleanse is the perfect opportunity to observe how being without it makes you feel, and what thoughts/emotions arise. We recommend cleanses get incorporated into a healthy lifestyle every few months.
Even though natural sugars are better for you than the likes of white caster sugar, your body still processes it the same, and it still triggers insulin. Part of our mission is to make nutrient-dense functional food, so our juices contain as little natural sugars, aka fruit, as possible. We add just enough apple or pear to complement the vegetables.
Each juice tastes slightly different so you have variety, and we’ve added just enough ginger, citrus or apple, to complement the vegetables.
Our number one goal is to make our juices as nutrient-dense as possible so their flavour is clean and fresh, unlike shop bought juice. And as well as being healthy, they taste delicioius!
We’ll give you some guidance, however, the schedule isn’t strict. Consume the juices in whatever order feels right. You’ll know what works best for you. For example, the two nut mylks contain naturally occurring protein and healthy fats, so it’s a good idea to have these when you’re normally at your hungriest.
People choose to do cleanses for different reasons, which often dictates when they do them. As general guidance, you may choose to do one when you feel like you need a reset, when you want to boost your immune system or after a period of over-indulgence.
You start by picking how many days you would like to do and when you want to start. Then we’ll send you a pre-cleanse questionnaire with some questions about your lifestyle, areas of your health you’re looking to address, and any food intolerances and allergies you need us to accommodate. We’ll carefully tailor all the juice and mylk recipes for your individual needs.
If your chosen cleanse is less than five days, you will receive everything in one delivery, so please make sure you have plenty of room in your fridge. For each day, you will receive 4 x 500ml cold-pressed juices and 2 x 330ml nut mylks.
At the end of the cleanse, you will receive the post-cleanse questionnaire to track your experience.
To optimise the efficacy of the program, we recommend only drinking water and herbal tea in addition to the juices and mylks provided. Try to avoid solids completely. If this is unachievable for you, firstly challenge yourself to see if you are acting out of habit or if you are genuinely too low in energy or hungry to continue. Consider bulking up one of the juices with some protein powder or blending half a banana or avocado into the juice to increase your calorie consumption and make you feel fuller.
Your energy levels might be lower during the initial phase of the cleanse, so make sure you get plenty of rest and don’t push yourself too hard physically. However, everyone is different and some people report having increased energy.
Depending on your lifestyle, you may experience some withdrawal symptoms from caffeine or sugar. The symptoms you’re likely to experience will be mild headaches and/or mood swings. Try to persevere as these should ease after the first few days.
This is a tricky one to answer because we’ve had lots of people say they don’t feel hungry, and some that say they were starving. A lot of it is psychological. You are getting enough calories to function during the cleanse and you will be drinking a minimum of 2.66 liters. If you keep yourself distracted and manage your hunger by having the juices and mylks when you need them, you should be able to push through without feeling starving. We tend to find day 1 the hardest.
There is no set rule as to how frequently to cleanse. We encourage people to be intuitive and listen to their body to gauge when it needs a cleanse. As a general guide, every three months seems to work for most people.
You will almost definitely lose weight. Most people lose a couple of pounds a day, although there are benefits far beyond weight loss you’re likely to experience, which is what we like to focus on. Most people feel refreshed and reenergised both mentally and physically from the experience, and find it a great way to reset their habits.
If you’re new to juice cleanses, then we would strongly recommend doing no more than 3 days. Three days is a great way to gauge how a cleanse makes you feel, and long enough to make a big impact to your habits. Any more than this may be too intense an experience for your first one. It’s important to make things manageable and set yourself up for success. Remember to be kind to yourself during the process as it can be an emotional experience.
We strongly recommend taking lots of rest during a cleanse. It’s a chance for your digestive system and organs to recuperate and you may have less energy during the initial days. You may still want to do some gentle exercise, like walking or yoga, but try not to push yourself too much. Tune in and see what feels appropriate. It’s all about listening to your body.
In the lead up to your cleanse you may want to scale back on the amount of inflammatory foods you’re consuming, such as sugar, dairy, gluten, caffeine, meat, and alcohol. These foods are likely to increase your withdrawal symptoms during the cleanse, so the less you have beforehand, the more comfortable you will find the first few days of your cleanse.
You may experience withdrawals on the first few days of the cleanse if you have a lot of inflammatory foods in your normal diet, such as sugar, dairy, gluten, caffeine, meat and alcohol. The symptoms you may experience are headaches, nausea and/or mood swings. This might sound drastic, but for most people, if they experience them, they are mild and normally only occur on day 1. The feeling at the end of a cleanse makes it well worthwhile pushing through this initial discomfort. In fact, to date, everyone who has done a Happiness Transformation cleanse said they would do another!
One of the benefits of the post-cleanse questionnaire is we get to understand what you experience during the cleanse. As everyone is different, we can’t assume you’ll all feel the same. That said, what most people find the hardest, not surprisingly, is missing solids. Most people at the end of a cleanse cannot wait to chew again! When you do, you’ll find your taste buds are re-sensitised – you’ll be amazed at the sweetness of a blueberry and how good it feels to eat an apple.
- Take this opportunity to slowly and mindfully re-introduce foods.
- Eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables.
- Soups and bone broth are a great way to continue the gut healing process.
- Eat small amounts and take your time to chew.
- Avoid alcohol, dairy, grains and animal protein for at least the first day after the cleanse and if possible, the first three.
- You can re-introduce coffee but be mindful of how much you consume as you’re likely to be more sensitive to the caffeine.
- This is a great opportunity for you to reset your relationship with food, so think about the healthy habits you’d like to introduce and plan out your nutrition accordingly.

We will try and accommodate a change of date if possible but we do schedule in the delivery of the ingredients 48 hours in advance, so it may not be possible. Please email us to find out.
We will chase you once to fill in the questionnaire as we’d really like to make sure we have tailored it to your needs, however if we do not hear back, we will deliver a general cleanse.

No, cold-pressed juices naturally separate. If they are still within their use by date, you just need to shake them up and enjoy!
It is important to ensure they are kept refrigerated.
We make cold pressed juice with a special juicer that uses hydraulic pressure and a slow pulverizer to juice fruit and veggies. Standard juicers, known as centrifugal juicers, use an ultra-fast spinning blade to extract the juice. The blades spin so quickly they generate heat, which ends up breaking down the important enzymes in the fruit and vegetables. The rapid spinning also lets air into the mix, oxidising the juice, which further breaks down its nutrients. This results in a less nutritionally beneficial juice. Cold pressed juice retains around 30% more nutrients.
Please recycle each bottle after use. Unfortunately, at this point in time, we cannot re-use them but for regular customers, we have a milk bottle system whereby we use glass bottles and will collect and re-use old bottles, when we deliver the new ones. We are striving towards having an environmentally sustainable health business, after all, we are hippies at heart!
Collagen is a natural animal protein. We use grass-fed, sustainably sourced, organic beef collagen.This is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

All subscriptions are delivered for FREE.
All juices and cleanses have a flat rate delivery fee of £15.
Functional protein balls have a flat rate delivery fee of £3.40.
We cannot leave deliveries unattended if you’re not in, for fear of the products spoiling. We will return the products to our manufacturing facility and try to re-arrange delivery with you, which may involve an additional charge.
Our products are made to order and ingredients are sourced the day before manufacturing so we require 48 hours notice if you wish to change any of the delivery details.
You will be given a 2 hour delivery window, if you have a specific time request, please note in on the checkout page with your order and we will do our best to accommodate.
Due to our products being made to order, we have to limit the amount of orders for a particular product we can accept for each delivery day. If your desired delivery date isn’t available, it will be because you are ordering within the required 48 hour notice window or we have exceeded the number of order we can deliver that day.
Deliveries will be made either between 12-2pm, 2-4pm and 4-6pm
Our goal is to keep the company carbon neutral-the planet is important to us! We offer a milk bottle type rotation system for our drinks to regular customers, so we collect the empty glass bottles as we deliver your new order. Our bottles are kept refrigerated during their journey to you, to ensure maximum freshness, and will arrive in a bag or carton. Please place them in the fridge as soon as you receive them.
Our functional snacks will either arrive by post or if we’re in the area delivering juices, we’ll deliver them to your door.
Delivery is currently available within Buckinghamshire. However you may see our products popping up in cafes, gyms and yoga studios further afield.
